Footprints Newsletter

Hello Everyone!
It's Friday again.  When did that happen?  I'm not complaining one bit!  Attached is this week's Footprints newsletter.  Inside you can read about our upcoming garage sale and how you can help out the church and clear out items from your home that you have been staring at and meaning to get rid of at the same time.  It's a win,win situation!  Please also mark your calendars for our Fall Workday on October 3rd.
This Sunday, please be sure to join us in worship as Pastor Diane has invited a special guest, Theron Felmlee, a member of the local Gideons chapter, to do a dialogue sermon with her.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Good Friday Morning!
How about those Broncos?!  Wow!  Even if you are not a fan of them or football, the way they won that game with little time left was something worth watching.  'Tis the season!  And how about that
Ruth Ann?  She's turning 90 next week and we can't wait to celebrate her milestone birthday this Sunday!  Please remember, we will be having a potluck meal immediately following, so please bring a dish to share!
Our mission team will be heading out to La Puente in Alamosa later this afternoon.  Once again, thank you to everyone who contributed donated items for this mission. The amount of boxes and bags that were dropped off in the office was making me feel a little claustrophobic!  And that's a good thing! Also, please see the article inside about your invitation to the Southeastern Association Annual Gathering in October and other exciting events to come.
I hope you have a great weekend!

Footprints Newsletter

Good Morning Everyone,
Today is a day of remembrance for all the lives lost and affected by the tragedy that occurred on our soil on this very day, September 11, 2001.  I perfectly remember where I was that day, and I'm sure you do as well.  I was just days away from delivering our first child living in Connecticut watching the Today Show and see it all happen live on TV.  I was never so terrified.  I felt as if we were next being so close to New York.  That is a day I will never forget and all the months that followed were the most unsettling.  But we came together as a country, stronger than ever and we thank all the first-responders and our military who sacrificed their lives and limbs rescuing people and going to war for our continued freedom.
On a lighter note, nine days from today on Sunday, September 20, we will be celebrating Ruth Ann's 90th birthday!  She could pass for a 40 year old. Am I right?!  I sure hope to have that kind of energy at 90! Please see details on her celebration inside.
Also, if you are able to help provide donated items for our mission trip next weekend to La Puente, please reference the list of needed items inside.  A similar list went out in a separate email yesterday.  We always appreciate your kindness and generosity.
I wish for everyone to have a wonderful weekend and we will see you on Sunday!

Footprints Newsletter

Hello Everyone!
Can you believe it's Labor Day weekend already!?  I hope everyone gets a chance to relax and BBQ this weekend, see the hot air balloons lift off and join us for worship on Sunday!  That sounds like a complete weekend to me.
In this week's Footprints, you can read a portion of an article from the Black Forest News about Ruth Ann Steele and all the details on her upcoming 90th birthday celebration.  Also coming up, is our monthly Board Meeting this Wednesday and Lunch Bunch the following week.  All are welcome to both.  Please see the attached for details.
I hope you get to do all the above and we will see you on Sunday – Communion Sunday.
Have a fantastic weekend!
