Easter Hams

We are collecting hams NOW with plans to deliver them the week of April 9. Bring a Ham and Bless a Family!! The hams will be brought to Black Forest Cares food pantry at the Black Forest Lutheran Church.

Preschool Bibles

First Step Preschool is a ministry of BFCC and as such we want to encourage and support the staff, students, and their families. As part of reaching this goal, BFCC will be gifting a Bible to each of the “graduating” preschool students this May. If you would like to make a donation toward this project, please label it “Bibles.”

Five-for-Five

Having just finished collecting for One Great Hour of Sharing, our next 5-for-5 will be Strengthen the Church (STC), which will be collected during the month of May, finishing on Pentecost Sunday (June 4th).

Grant Awarded!

We received a grant from RMCUCC! The  “in the Mud” Grant we applied for gives BFCC $1,000 to work with La Puente. This means that we will be more involved with helping with this important mission, including planning more trips and providing more assistance for whatever La Puente needs. We have begun conversation with La Puente director Lance Cheslock for ideas, and we welcome ideas from the congregation as well. See this youtube video for a taste of what La Puente is all about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7zRIovIqJg

New Missions outreach opportunity:

Missions Ministry has begun working with TLC Pharmacy (The Lord Cares) in Colorado Springs. TLC Pharmacy is a Non-profit pharmacy operated by a dedicated team of volunteers who are dispensing help & hope for low-income, uninsured Patients by providing access to medication and education.  They are open Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and Tom Putney is currently volunteering 4 hours per month. They are associated with Open Bible Medical Clinic. Please visit tlcpharmacy.org and openbiblemedical.org if you are interested in volunteering for, or learning more about, these local missions.

In keeping with UCC, Missions Ministry strives to lead all of us to “Be the Church”
