I have a chipper operator assigned already, but need some lively crew members to assist with hauling the slash to the chipper. If you are available for this project — for the entire day or a half day — please let me know by return email.
Attached is the liability waiver form that all volunteers need to sign once each year. If you haven't done one of these yet in 2016, please print out a copy and bring it with you.
I look forward to hearing from many enthusiastic BFT workers!

Subject: RSVP BY AUGUST 5 for the Installation of Rev. Sue Artt as Conference Minister!
To: Connect RMCUCC <email@example.com>
Together with the Intermountain, Platte Valley, Southeastern, and Western Associations, we will gather just beyond the porch on the meadow-side of Ponderosa Lodge at La Foret Conference & Retreat Center at 6145 Shoup Road, Black Forest, Colorado on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 2 p.m.
The installation will serve as a powerful milestone in our continuing Conference journey toward inspiring generous faith and justice communities across the West. We will be joined by UCC General Minister and President, the Rev. Dr. John C. Dorhauer, and others representing the wider church, as we covenant together our commitment to a Gospel which has the power to change lives. All are welcome to attend and to participate.
After the installation, we will enjoy a reception of appetizers and beverages. For those able to stay, more fun is planned into the evening!
We hope that you'll bless us by joining us in this celebration of covenant. Please RSVP by August 5 by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. For further information–including details on lodging, meals, attire, transportation, and what kind of rock to bring–please view the document below.
Rocky Mountain Conference
Installation of Rev. Sue Artt, Conference Minister
Saturday, August 20, 2016 @ 2:00 pm
La Foret Conference & Retreat Center
La Foret Conference & Retreat Center (at 6145 Shoup Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado) is 90 minutes from Denver Int’l Airport and 20 minutes from Colorado Springs Airport. La Foret is one of the UCC’s premier outdoor ministry facilities, with 200 beds and 400+ acres. Complete with labyrinth, swimming pool, and hiking trails, the team there is thrilled to host this event. Come prepared to use and enjoy this facility. Learn more at www.LaForet.org or (719) 495-2743.
The installation will be held in the open air on the footsteps of historic Ponderosa Lodge. Seating will be provided; please consider wearing a hat and sunscreen as appropriate.
RMC Board Members (years 2013/14 – current), current Association leaders, Search Committee, and clergy are invited to process. Those in the procession will gather inside Ponderosa at 1:40 pm for direction.
Attendees are invited to dress in festive, bold, and diverse colors. Clergy are invited to robe (optional) and wear stoles in a diverse array of colors and styles. August temps may be in the high 80’s; there is no air conditioning.
A Covenant Rock
All are invited to bring a rock to participate in a covenanting ceremony during the installation. Please select a rock of sufficient heft, shape, color or other characteristic to signify your covenantal commitment to Christ’s prophetic, revolutionary Gospel with the power to change lives.
If you are familiar with La Foret and able to traverse the terrain, please park near Carriage House, Indian Paintbrush, or Kinnickinnick, leaving spaces around Ponderosa for guests and those requiring near-in parking.
Your affirmative response is requested so that we may plan for seating during the installation, and for food & beverage at the reception immediately following. Please send your RSVP (no regrets) by Friday, August 5 to email@example.com. Please type "RSVP" in Subject Line.
If you need lodging either Friday or Saturday night, please respond as directed in the Lodging section below.
Information for Out of Town Guests
For guests arriving by air, we can arrange transportation from/to Denver International Airport (DIA) or Colorado Springs Airport.
If you are either arriving or departing on the day of the installation — Saturday, August 20 — please book air travel to arrive at DIA no later than 11:00 am, and to depart no earlier than 8:00 pm. These times should be adequate to attend the installation on the front end, and make it through security and board your departing flight on the other.
Friday and/or Saturday overnight accommodations (with meals) are available at La Foret at a very economical rate. If you choose to spend Friday night, your meals will include Friday dinner, and Saturday breakfast and lunch. The reception following the installation is complementary to all, and will serve as Saturday dinner. If you choose to spend Saturday night, breakfast on Sunday is included. You will be accommodated in a lower-level bunk, and bedding and a towel will be provided.
