Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
Your Footprints newsletter comes to you a couple days early this week. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, a time to reflect on what we are thankful to have and not what we don't. I am thankful for this position at Black Forest Community Church as your office administrator. The position became available at a time when I was hoping and praying to make extra money to help out my husband support our family of five after being a stay-at-home mom since moving out to Colorado in 2007. The position practically fell on my lap! One thing lead to another and I not only got to make that extra money I was praying for, but it also opened up the door for me and my kids to start going to church again. I admit, I wasn't the best at waking up on Sunday's to get to church. But I'm sure glad to wake up now and see all your faces every Sunday. And I am so thankful for the new friends I have made. Thank you, BFCC!
Enough about me! Inside your newsletter you will find information about decorating our church for Christmas, how to get a discount on a Christmas tree while supporting a local business, and an upcoming concert by folks from our own congregation! All this plus some important dates you need to mark on your calendar including the Welcome Committee's meeting which will be held at the Putney's home on the 4th. All are welcome!
Have yourselves a fabulous Thanksgiving and please be sure to remember all you are thankful for.
