Footprints Newsletter

Good Morning Everyone,
Today is a day of remembrance for all the lives lost and affected by the tragedy that occurred on our soil on this very day, September 11, 2001.  I perfectly remember where I was that day, and I'm sure you do as well.  I was just days away from delivering our first child living in Connecticut watching the Today Show and see it all happen live on TV.  I was never so terrified.  I felt as if we were next being so close to New York.  That is a day I will never forget and all the months that followed were the most unsettling.  But we came together as a country, stronger than ever and we thank all the first-responders and our military who sacrificed their lives and limbs rescuing people and going to war for our continued freedom.
On a lighter note, nine days from today on Sunday, September 20, we will be celebrating Ruth Ann's 90th birthday!  She could pass for a 40 year old. Am I right?!  I sure hope to have that kind of energy at 90! Please see details on her celebration inside.
Also, if you are able to help provide donated items for our mission trip next weekend to La Puente, please reference the list of needed items inside.  A similar list went out in a separate email yesterday.  We always appreciate your kindness and generosity.
I wish for everyone to have a wonderful weekend and we will see you on Sunday!
